Salmon was established in 1989, the year Tim Berners-Lee invented the WorldWide Web. We became part of the WPP group in 2013 and joined WPP agency Wunderman to establish its ecommerce division Wunderman Commerce in June 2017.

In June 2017, Salmon joined Wunderman, a WPP company and leading global digital agency, as the foundation for Wunderman Commerce, Wunderman's new ecommerce division.
