Salmon, DFS and Satalia shortlisted for second accolade of 2018
Salmon, a Wunderman Commerce Company, in conjunction with its partner Satalia and client DFS have been shortlisted for their second industry award this year.
This month it was announced they are finalists in the 2018 Ecommerce Awards for the category: Best Innovation in eCommerce Delivery/Logistics. The award recognises a supplier or company (trading online) that has introduced an innovative solution in the last 12 months that has had a positive impact on delivery / logistics.
Salmon, along with Satalia, worked with DFS to develop and integrate a unique last-mile home delivery solution, as well as develop a new mobile app that outperforms any off-the-shelf, last-mile delivery product on the market, combining cutting-edge algorithms and machine learning to optimise the routes and schedules of thousands of orders every day. It improves delivery efficiency, arrival accuracy and ensures the highest levels of customer satisfaction each time a sofa is delivered. In addition, it’s contributing to a substantial cost saving per order to the business.
In June, the trio won Retail Systems’ Delivery Initiative of the Year award for their collaborative work on the implementation of innovative technology to boost DFS’s omnichannel delivery proposition.
Now in its tenth year, the Ecommerce Awards has consistently broken new ground in highlighting some of the very best online retailers, online companies, agencies, innovations, products and campaigns the eCommerce industry has to offer.
