Halfords and Salmon Shortlisted for Multichannel Integration Project of the Year –
in Retail Week Technology Awards

Salmon, specialists in delivering eCommerce solutions today announced they have been shortlisted as a finalist in the category “Multichannel Integration Project of the Year”, in the Retail Week Technology Awards 2010. The awards acknowledge and reward the achievements and success of retail technology in the UK.
Salmon have been shortlisted for recent projects at Halfords that have seen them integrate Web, store and mobile Channels – a Dot.com first.
Neil Stewart, Commercial Director at Salmon said, “We are excited about being shortlisted for this award which relates to a couple of projects we delivered for Halfords during 2009. We have been helping Halfords implement their multichannel strategy since 2005 and most recently delivered “Text and Reserve” and “Free Delivery to Store”. Both of these customer oriented solutions have been completely integrated with Halfords existing infrastructure and follow the success of “Reserve and Collect” and “Home Delivery” offerings to extend Halfords multichannel strategy even further.”
The winners will be announced at The Retail Week Technology Awards, sponsored by BT, to be held on June 15, 2010 at the London Hilton on Park Lane, London. The winner should be able to demonstrate that they have used technology to integrate their channels, maximized the opportunity to develop multichannel customers and provide a consistent shopping experience.
