Salmon and ICI Paints IT Europe Commended at Information Management Awards 2005

Salmon Ltd, the IT services and consulting firm and ICI Paints IT Europe have been Commended at the Information Management Awards 2005. Both Salmon and ICI Paints IT Europe were recognised in the B2C Project Category for their excellence and innovation in the management of business information.

Salmon were the principal I.T. partner in ICI's &quotColour Chemistry" initiative which involved the redevelopment of www.dulux.co.uk. The eCommerce solution aims to inspire consumers to transform their surroundings with performance products and colour to enrich people's lives by bringing visual delight and lasting care to their surroundings.

Commenting on the success, Simon Ball, Salmon's Commercial Director said, &quotWe are delighted to have been Commended. The Information Management Awards, now in their tenth year, are the premier European recognition of excellence and innovation in the management of business information. They are a showcase for the success stories of organisations that have demonstrated the vision and business skills to implement very successful projects and develop innovative new products.

The Awards attracted entries from private sector companies ranging from Top 100 to start-up companies, to public sector bodies charged with implementing e-government directives. In total over 40 independent expert judges drawn from fields including journalism, consultancy, academia, user associations provided the expert and independent appraisal of the entries.

The principal media partner is Computer Business Review magazine and the awards are organised by Elan Conferences in partnership with the British Computer Society.
