Salmon and Halfords named as a Finalist at The IM2006 Awards

Salmon
today announced that they have been selected as a Finalist in the BCS
Information Management Awards (IM2006 Awards), in the Business to
Consumer (B2C) Award category.
Salmon and Halfords are nominated for the most innovative and
successful electronic business-to-consumer project Award. Salmon were
responsible for completely redeveloping and redesigning Halfords
e-Commerce technology platform and website www.halfords.com. As a
result, Halfords have benefited from a 250% uplift in sales and a 60%
increase in site visits. Selected from over 650 entries Salmon and
Halfords are one of 20 Finalists in the category vying for 4 Awards.
Jeff Leaver, Chief Operations Officer at Salmon said "We are delighted

record of delivering Multi Channel e-Commerce solutions for some of the
largest retailers in the UK, including Argos, Arcadia and ICI Paints,
however it is always nice to receive recognition from an independent
judging panel".
The Awards, now in their eleventh year, showcase and recognise Europe's
excellence and innovation in the management of business information.
They are fiercely contested and highly valued within the IT and
business world. They are a showcase for organisations that have
demonstrated the vision and the business skills to implement new
technology to reap real business benefits with substantial and
measurable ROI.
The Winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner in The Great Room at
the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel on Thursday 7th December. The
Awards attract entries from private sector companies ranging from Top
100, to start-up companies, to public sector bodies charged with
implementing e-government directives. The size of the company or the
project is not a factor in the judging process. Many start-up companies
have benefited immensely from the exposure given to their innovative
offerings. Salmon are no strangers to the IM Awards.
In 2005 the company was Commended in the B2C Project Category for their
work with ICI Paints. In addition Argos, a Salmon client for years, was
recently awarded Online Retailer of the Year 2006 by Retail Week.
