Press Release
Lloydspharmacy is in good shape to meet its multichannel vision with new roadmap developed by Salmon
16 July 2011
Salmon, specialists in delivering eCommerce solutions, have helped Lloydspharmacy develop a comprehensive 18 month roadmap. The company, which has over 1600 pharmacies in the UK, is now fighting fit to deliver its multichannel strategy and meet its aggressive growth target to increase sales year on year by 50%.
Lloydspharmacy turned to Salmon for their expertise in developing eCommerce solutions for some of the largest brands in retail, and their capability in helping retailers trade their sites successfully. Having examined Lloydspharmacy’s current eCommerce operation and online strategy, Salmon provided recommendations and a Roadmap to help the pharmacy retailer achieve its online and multichannel objectives over the next five years. The review looked at the customer facing web site, the underlying infrastructure and the existing business processes and teams. Salmon then developed a Roadmap and set of recommendations with the aims of increasing sales, improving operational efficiency and delivering an enhanced customer experience.
Ros Hunt, Head of Online at Lloydspharmacy said, “We have been trading online for nearly three years, and although in this time we have established a solid online market presence and have experienced good growth, we believe there is a more opportunity to grow revenue, improve efficiency and make substantial market gain. Salmon were refreshing to work with; they were the only supplier we dealt with that really understood our business and spoke in commercial language. Salmon were able to convey to us clearly and succinctly what we should focus on and how best to realise our vision. They made a number of recommendations that we are now implementing and we are already starting to see improvements relating to site performance and search. We look forward to a continued relationship moving forward.”
Sue Pratt, Account Director at Salmon said, “Lloydspharmacy is now well placed to execute on its Roadmap and achieve its multichannel commerce objectives and we look forward to a continued working relationship.”
